1 min to read Oct 26, 2022

HMOs are a type of oligosaccharides produced by the mammary glands and found naturally only in breast milk.
They are considered the third most abundant solid component after lactose and fat.

There are more than 200 types of HMOs.

The most abundant in breast milk is a type called 2'FL, which represents %30 of the total amount of HMOs.

Generally, HMOs, and in particular 2'FL, has many benefits, such as:
 *  Strengthening the immunity and protecting against infection.
 *  Healthy formation and growth of good bacteria in babies' digestive systems.
 *  Healthy development of babies' digestive systems.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: We believe that breastfeeding is the ideal nutritional start for babies and we fully support the World Health Organizations recommendation of exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months of life followed by the introduction of adequate nutritious complementary foods along with continued breastfeeding up to two years of age.

NAN® Opti Pro 3 is not a breast-milk substitute. We recommend that you speak to your healthcare professional about how to feed your baby and seek advice on when to introduce this product.
