• 50g Cerelac Rice (6months+) (for a thinner soup 25 g can be used)
• 2 tsp vegetable oil
• 150g minced beef
• ¼ small onion
• Handful of parsley
• Pinches of black pepper, 7 spices blend, cumin, cinnamon (optional)
• ½ cup zucchini, cubed small
• ½ cup potato, cubed small
• 2 small tomatoes, peeled and cubed
• 2 tsp tomato paste
• 1 cup of water
IMPORTANT NOTICE: The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends exclusive breast-feeding for the first 6 months. Consult your doctor for advice on when to introduce complementary foods to your baby. Breastfeeding should continue for as long as possible after introduction of complementary foods.

In a food processor, place the onion and pulse until chopped. Add the parsley, the meat, and the spices (if using). Then pulse again until the mixture comes together

Form the meat into small meatballs (about 1 cm)

In a wide pot, cook the meatballs in 1 tsp. oil. Remove and set aside once done

In the same pot, add the remaining 1 tsp. of oil and cook the potato for 1 minute, then add the zucchini, then the tomato. Cook for 2 minutes and then add the tomato paste and the water and mix

Drop the meatballs back in the pot

Bring to a boil, then simmer, cover and cook for 20 minutes

Finally add the Cerelac, mix, and continue cooking for 1 minute
**You can substitute the kafta balls with minced beef if your little foodie is less than 12 months.
N.B: Make sure to supervise your little foodie during feeding time and you can cut or shape the dish conveniently to his/her needs.
